About Harding University Pre-Optometry Club
Our Mission
Harding University Pre-Optometry Club provides awareness of the current optometry profession and graduate schools, supports pre-optometry students, and coordinates shadowing and volunteer opportunities for members. Founded in 2019, our Club is located at Harding University. We’re extremely proud of our student members and sponsors, who are always eager to learn, create and grow together.

What is Optometry?
Doctors of Optometry (ODs) are the primary health care professionals for the eyes. Optometrists examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye
Why Choose Optometry?
Vision is one of our most valuable senses. As an optometrist, you will make a profound and lasting impact on the lives of your patients. Doctors of optometry do more than care for a person’s eyes—they improve a person’s quality of life.
